During the month of January, according to the Portuguese National Institute of Statistics, the textile exports of the country had a growth of 14%, compared to its counterpart, for a total of 411 million euros. The main destinations of Portuguese textiles in this period are located in Europe, specifically in the Austrian, Polish, French, Danish, Swedish and British markets. Beyond these borders, Angola and China are the countries that invested the most in products “made in Portugal”.

“We expect that the strong growth in January is the first month of another year of growth,” said the president of the Textile and Apparel Association of Portugal (ATP), João Costa.
