Alexandre Marques, member of the Cabinet for the Promotion of the Framework Programme, recently revealed that SME Instrument, built into the new Horizon 2020 program, finances all investments in technology and R & D in Portugal.
In the first phase of nominations, as Marques explained, is due to present an analysis of the concept of the project and its feasibility, considering that only 10% of these applications are being approved at this time. Accepted projects get support for the value of € 50,000 without financial report. Then, the promoter will have to submit a second application including concept development. In this second phase, the chances of approval are between 30% and 50%, and the value of support is from € 500,000 to € 2.5 million.
