Companies in the area of information technology and call centers are the companies that are currently acquiring more office space, mainly in the cities of Lisbon and Porto, according to information published on Económico Journal. The main reason for this preference for the Portuguese country as a center of operations of these organizations lies on occupancy costs, as reported the real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield, referred by the Portuguese newspaper.

During the third quarter of 2014, the occupation of business property was 37,240 square meters, been the strongest period of the year. The “Golden Visa”, the new Urban Lease Law and the most favorable terms offered by banks for financing, were part of the actions that stimulated this sector, pointed Cushman & Wakefield in its fall report.
